In my opinion, Skies of Arcadia is one of the greatest games for the Dreamcast. It is a typical RPG, as in unexpected battles with various creatures and collecting. But it soon unflods into an RPG unlike any other. Vyse and his crew of Air Pirates meet and say good-bye to many interesting and colorful characters, such as Gilder, the gunslinging captain who joins Vyse when he is marooned, and thinks he is a complete ladies man. The game also allows you to fly giant flying pirate ships which can be outfitted with different guns, torpedoes, and super cannons (such as the Little Jack's Harpoon Cannon, an the Delphinus' Moonstone Cannon). The gameplay is a little confusing at times. And the frame rate (or at least on my copy) took so long, especially after a battle. Overall, Skies of Arcadia is a fun game, and a must own for RPG lovers. I give it a 8 out of 10.
